After two losing seasons and no playoff wins since the Super Bowl run in 2009, it was easy to believe the rumors about New Orleans Saints Head Coach, Sean Payton. Maybe the rumors were complete garbage, and the Saints had every intention of signing him to a contract extension – which, they now have done.

If you want to read a full detailed history of how Sony/ATV came to exist and how Michael came to acquire The Beatles’ songs, check out this article that I wrote a few years back. People seem to really enjoy that one (humble brag). I’ll also give a brief overview below: As most people know by now, Michael first learned about the concept of buying music publishing from Paul McCartney.
Oh, and by the way, Ballmer is paying CASH. No financing at all. 100% cash. $2 billion dollars sets the record for most money ever spent to purchase an NBA team. The previous NBA price-record was actually set last month when the Milwaukee Bucks sold for $550 million. $2 billion is also just $100 million shy of breaking the record for highest price paid for any North American sports team.
Bacon, who heads up Moore Capital and has a net worth of $1.6 billion, filed suit against Nygard in Freeport, Bahamas. Who do you think said that? Jeff Bezos? Bill Gates? Peter Thiel? Any of those would be a good guess but would be wrong. Sure, it sounds like something one of our favorite tech billionaires would say, but the fact is, that phrase was written in 1866 by an 89-year-old French woman, Barbe-Nicole Clicquot, a woman so ahead of her time that her business philosophy still holds true 150 years later.

He is one of the pioneers of the fracking industry. His general flouting of the rules for his own means led to him being removed from the company he helped found in 2013.

That gives him more money since the salary cap keeps increasing. This off-season, LeBron was a bit more committal, signing a three-year, $99 million contract with the ability to opt out in 2018.

In case you need a quick reminder: last year, en route to their fourth Super Bowl, the New England Patriots beat the Indianapolis Colts 45-7 in the AFC Championship Game. The Colts suggested the Patriots were using balls that were deflated past the legal PSI, there was a big, drawn-out investigation by the league, Tom Brady destroyed a cell phone, documents were likely mishandled and misinterpreted, and the whole thing clouded both the off-season and the start of the following season.

TMZ recently got a hold of Wale’s tour rider, and the demands, while not completely outrageous, are interesting, to say the least. The 32-year-old rapper’s tour rider is detailed if nothing else, spanning a lengthy 18 pages. According to the rider, the Washington, D.C. native asks for two comfortable dressing rooms “furnished with REAL, clean” sofas that can sit up to 10 adults. In addition, he asks for a variety of alcohol; including Hennessy, Patron, and Ace of Spades, in particular.
