As a Television presenter Murs will co-present The Xtra Factor which is a spin off show from the X Factor series. Olly has a twin brother and one sister he was educated at Notley High School in Braintree, Essex and was a striker on the school’s football team. His third studio album is slated to be released in November 2012. Murs is also well-known for his involvement in charity work; he was a member of the BT Charity Trek, of the 2011 Comic Relief Red Nose Day campaign as well as a celebrity version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire where he won £10,000 for charity.
