After sitting on the market for two years and with varying price tags, the deal of the century was inked out in favor of real estate investor David Edelstein, who told the Journal he bought the home as an investment in an off-market deal that closed earlier this month. But while Edelstein may have made off like a bandit in the surprising NYC sale, some say this might mean trouble for the Manhattan real estate market.
That number isn’t likely to change after LSU’s New Year’s Eve match-up with Louisville, because Fournette is planning to skip the game. It makes sense. Running backs already have a short career span and Fournette has seen other guys – such as former South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore – suffer gruesome injuries in the past that ended their playing days early. Since college players don’t get paid, Fournette would only be gambling with his financial future if he played against the Cardinals, right?
Tupac was unable to speak the entire time he was in the hospital, mostly because he was in a coma. For 18 years, no one has known what this lyrical genius’ final mortal words were. Until today. Las Vegas motorcycle police officer Chris Carroll was the first person to arrive on the grisly scene at East Flamingo Road and Koval Road. In the 18 years since Tupac’s muder, Officer Carroll has never spoken publicly about what exactly he rode up to on that fateful night.
He played a Merrill Lynch executive in Rules Don’t Apply, so it wasn’t exactly a stretch for his talents. But if you look at the full list of films his name is under on IMDb (including a couple that haven’t even come out yet), it is pretty impressive:

In other words, a good time! All kidding aside, the business of vice is big business. Just look at Las Vegas, the liquor business, and tobacco sales. In fact, when the economy takes a downturn, the business of vice makes even more money. Historically, in times of economic burden, people turn to booze and gambling and cigarettes to get some relief. There’s even a mutual fund that bases its methodology around vice: VICEX.
The king of professional sports remained the NFL, of course. Revenues increased yet again under Roger Goodell’s leadership, to $13 billion last season (up from $12 billion the year before and $10.5 billion the year before that). If you believe the line Goodell has been selling to the league’s owners, the NFL will be grossing $25 billion by 2027. It appears that Goodell’s master plan to reach $25 billion is to increase global awareness of the NFL brand, with games in Europe, Mexico, and maybe even China in the not too distant future.
The Cincinnati Bengals had just agreed to trade him to the Cleveland Browns for a pair of draft picks. Everything was set…except the Browns didn’t notify the league before the 4 p.m. trade deadline. The deal never happened, and McCarron landed back in Cincinnati. And now, per Adam Schefter, it’s being reported that McCarron filed a grievance against the Bengals earlier this season. If the result goes his way, he can skip restricted free agency and become an unrestricted free agent when this season ends.
At the time of his hanging of the cleats, Brooks was the Saints’ all-time leader in touchdown passes for both single-season and his career. Both records have been shattered by Drew Brees. He finished his career with 123 touchdown passes to 92 interceptions to go along with more than 20,000 passing yards and an overall quarterback rating of 78.

As an amateur, playing with professionals, it would not have been surprising if he had faltered under the pressure, but he didn’t. He played well – so well, in fact, that on the final day of the tournament, he was paired with Jordan Spieth, the No. 1 golfer in the world. When the final round ended, he was in fourth place, just three strokes off the lead. That wasn’t the most amazing thing that he did, though.
In the United States, Nevada is the only state that allows for legal gambling on sports. The AGA would have it otherwise, representing $240 billion worth of gambling interests in the casino industry, much of which won’t see penny one of that 97 percent. Instead, these bets will be through private bookies and offshore betting sites. The AGA is openly in favor of lifting restrictions on sports gambling, citing a report from last year concluding that legalized and properly regulated betting was the best way to maintain the integrity of pro sports, as opposed to full-on prohibition.
Last month, the Beyhive was excited to learn that Beyonce was listed as one of the headliners of the Coachella festival which takes place in April. Now that Beyonce has announced that she is in fact pregnant, her appearance at the festival may be in doubt. While we don’t know exactly how many months, by the size of her baby bump, it isn’t a stretch to guess that she is anywhere from three to five months pregnant.

Arizona is one of the states with a ballot measure, Proposition 205, to legalize marijuana for recreational and medicinal use. Sheldon Adelson is the latest major donor to oppose that initiative. The Nevada resident donated $500,000 to Arizonans for Responsible Drug Policy, a group that opposes Proposition 205. The campaign has raised roughly $4.3 million to oppose Arizona’s legalization of recreational marijuana. This isn’t the first time Adelson has poured big bucks into opposing marijuana legalization.
He was picked by the Washington Nationals with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, and the rest is history. After playing in the Arizona Fall League in 2010 he played in the minors during the 2011 season, and was called up to make his big league debut in April 2012. He had his rough moments the first couple of years, but all the work paid off last season when he became the youngest player in baseball history to ever win MVP by a unanimous vote (he was 22).
